Making an offer to a buyer

How to send offers to buyers from your enquiries - including single item offers, bundle offers, and how to edit or replace an offer.

As a seller on Vinterior, you can make offers to buyers directly from your enquiries. You can offer on item price, delivery, or both. You can also bundle multiple items from your inventory into a single offer.

This article covers how to put an offer together, what the buyer sees, and how to manage or update an offer once it's been sent.

Types of offer

1. Single item offers

Item price only

Reduce the item price without touching delivery. The buyer sees the new price and how much they're saving against the listed figure. The delivery price remains at whatever it is set in your delivery grid, or set on your listing (see delivery information for more information on how to set delivery prices on Vinterior).

Item price and delivery

Adjust the item price, the delivery cost, or both in a single offer. The buyer sees the new prices, their total, and how much they're saving.

Delivery only

Keep the item at its listed price and adjust the delivery cost alone. Useful when delivery is the sticking point in a negotiation.

2. Bundle offers

Group multiple items from your inventory together with delivery into one offer. Search by item name or SKU, add what you want to include, set your prices, and send. The buyer sees a combined price for everything in one place.

How to make an offer

  1. Open an enquiry from your inbox.

  2. Click Make an offer.

  3. Choose whether you're making an offer on a single item or a bundle.

For a single item offer:

  1. Enter your offer price for the item, the delivery, or both. Leave any field blank to keep it at the listed price.

  2. Review the offer summary, then click Send offer.

For a bundle offer:

  1. Search for items from your inventory by name or SKU and add them to the bundle.

  2. Enter your offer price for each item and for delivery. Leave any field blank to keep it at the listed price.

  3. Review the offer summary, then click Send bundle offer.

What the buyer sees

Once you send an offer, the buyer receives a summary showing:

  • The new price for each item

  • The delivery cost

  • The total

  • How much they're saving compared to the listed prices

If the buyer accepts, all items are automatically added to their cart at the agreed prices. No further action is needed from you at that stage.

Editing or replacing an offer

You can update an offer at any time before the buyer accepts. To do this, open the relevant enquiry and click Edit offer (this button replaces Make an offer once an offer has been sent). The new offer replaces the previous one, which remains visible in the thread marked as withdrawn.
