When you confirm a sale, you are able to add the delivery price for the item:

  1. Click Confirm Your Sale on the notification email you receive.
  2. Alternatively, go to your My Sales page and click the Update button.
  3. Confirm availability.
  4. Input the delivery price.
  5. Add the delivery timeline (please be accurate to avoid disappointed buyers).
  6. Enter any delivery notes (important to manage buyers expectations).

When you have confirmed the order, the buyer will receive a confirmation email outlining the cost of delivery. The buyer is then charged with the payment card they used to make the item purchase.

How to charge an additional amount for delivery after confirmation:

  1. Communicate with the buyer the reason for the additional amount. 
  2. Receive the buyer's written approval.
  3. Email the Vinterior team at sellersupport@vinterior.co or info@vinterior.co.
  4. Provide the order number and item title.
  5. State the amount and the reason for the charge.
  6. Vinterior will make the additional charge.

Cash on delivery is not permitted

This is for protective measures for the buyer and yourself. With high-value vintage and antique items, it is often the case that an item can be damaged or lost in transit.

If the payment is not made via Vinterior, we cannot protect you:

  • The item has not yet arrived with the buyer (delayed delivery)
  • The item is returned because the buyer changed their mind. The non-refundable delivery fee cannot be refunded if it was paid in cash.
  • There is an escalation between the buyer and seller
  • The item is lost in transit
  • The item is damaged in transit
  • The buyer wishes Vinterior keep the funds until they are happy and satisfied with their product
