Why have we chosen fixed delivery prices?

After conducting successful tests on displaying fixed delivery prices (rather than estimated) on all listings to UK buyers, we decided to update our policy on delivery charges. Why were our tests successful? Buyers could be sure how much they would be paying for delivery upfront, and as a result, we saw an increase in conversion.

What does this mean for sellers?

We ask that all sellers commit to their advertised delivery costs.

What does this mean for buyers?

Buyers check out with an advertised fixed delivery price. They cannot be charged a higher delivery amount. However, to provide our buyers with the best delivery experience, if you find a cheaper delivery option than your advertised price, you can confirm the lower price, and the buyer will be automatically refunded the difference.

I'm a UK seller; how do I change my delivery prices?

You have control of the fixed delivery prices on your listings via the following options:

1. By adding prices to your delivery grid

2. Adding a delivery price to a specific listing

3. Updating the delivery grid size category of your item yourself (these are: Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large).

4. By marking a specific listing as 'Request a quote'.

NB. If a listing is not marked as 'Request a quote', and you don't have prices in your delivery grid or on listings, we'll display our estimated fixed delivery prices below:

  • Delivery prices set by you via your listing or your delivery grid

            OR if you don't have a delivery price set, we will show your listings as

How does fixed delivery work?

All fixed delivery costs are calculated on your listing's delivery size category. Our categories are as listed below:

Small: items that can be sent through the post;

Medium: items that can be delivered easily by 1 man;

Large: can be delivered 1 man with the help of the customer;

- Extra-large: would be a 2-man delivery service.

NB. If you disagree with Vinterior's auto-calculated delivery size category, you can adjust it yourself on your listings.

How does my payment work?

1. Listings with advertised delivery prices: Sellers are paid for their advertised delivery price or less (in cases where a cheaper delivery option is found).

2. ' Request a quote' listings: Sellers are paid for the amount they commit to on a quote-by-quote basis.

3. Listings advertised as 'Free Delivery': Sellers cannot add a delivery cost post-sale.
