Reserving/Unreserving listings for Trade buyers

Modified on Thu, 3 Dec, 2020 at 6:18 PM

Trade buyers are able to request to reserve a listing, and they can do this in 3 ways:

  1. Request via the listing.
  2. Request through a conversation with you.
  3. Request through a CX agent (this is only for top buyers).

You can choose to accept or refuse any reserve request, however it is advisable to accept. This is because trade buyers often need to have an item approved by their clients/team before they can place their order. Moreover, reserving an item for a trade buyer gives them a great purchasing experience.

Vinterior Tips:

  • Be clear on the how long you can reserve the item for.

  • Do not hesitate to chase the buyer.

Steps to reserve an item:

  1. Select your listing

  2. Edit

  3. Tick the box “Mark this item as on hold” (next to “Mark as sold”)

  4. Save

Steps to unreserve an item:

  1. Select your listing

  2. Edit

  3. Untick the box “Mark this item as on hold” (next to “Mark as sold”)

  4. Save

Vinterior Tips:

  • When an item is reserved, another client cannot purchase the item but they can write you messages.
  • Vinterior do not have automation that would unreserve the item after a certain time, so please make sure to keep an eye on it.
